Hello Preston Families!

Welcome to the 2025–26 school year! I am excited to continue serving as your Principal here at Preston Elementary School. It has truly been a privilege to watch our students learn and grow, and I look forward to another amazing year ahead. 

The first day of school for students will be Monday, August 11, 2025. We can’t wait to welcome everyone back and start another fantastic year of learning and growth together!

This year, our theme is, “Painting a Bright Future!”

This theme represents our shared commitment to creating an inspiring, supportive, and vibrant learning environment for every student. Together with our dedicated staff, wonderful students, and supportive families, we are working to build a future full of possibilities and success for all.

We are especially proud to share that our students continue to make outstanding progress! Our scores in English Language Arts and math have continued to rise, and our school attendance rates have also improved. These achievements are a direct result of the hard work of our students, the dedication of our staff, and the strong partnership we have with our Preston families. Working together, we will continue to foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment where every child can thrive.

We strongly encourage all parents and families to get involved in our school community. You can join and support groups such as the Parent Teacher Association (PTA), African American Parent Advisory Council (AAPAC), English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC), and School Site Council (SSC). We also welcome parent volunteers on campus. Please ask us about the Volunteer Application Process if you are interested in helping.
